A Happy Wife's Tale

          On one fair day
          In early May
I met a tall,  dark,  handsome man.
          He smiled at me
          And I could see
He was the hunkiest man in the land.
He smiled at me and took my hand.
(The hunkiest man in all this land!)

          My heart did melt
          My poor head felt
As light as a feather in the wind.
I was light as a feather.
          I could not do better.
I wanted this man to marry me,
          Over the threshold carry me.
(This hunkiest man to marry me!)

          To my surprise,
          With sparkling eyes,
He said, "You are the one for me!"
          I nodded "Yes!"
          And as you guess
We planned the wedding in June to be.
          And lived ever after, happily.
(So happily, my Hunk and me!)
